modest apparel

Marnehill

Coverage and line. Not one or the other.

This brand does not exist. The name, the story, the palette and the mark were all invented for the Krowdee template library — then the ad was written as a spec and rendered by our engine. Nothing here belongs to anyone else.
The story

Marnehill exists because of a false choice its founder was repeatedly offered: modest clothing that covers properly but hangs like a sack, or clothing that hangs beautifully and covers nothing.

The resolution turned out to be in the cloth rather than the cut. Heavyweight natural fabrics — the kind with enough mass to fall in a straight line instead of clinging — cut for drape first. Lighter fabric is cheaper, ships cheaper, and photographs just as well lying flat. It simply does not hang. Marnehill pays the weight penalty on every garment.

They publish no styled lookbook. The proof they lead with is a garment after a year of wear, because drape is the one property a flat product photograph cannot show and a year of wearing cannot fake.

How the ad was made

20 seconds, written as a spec.

Why this shapeA before/after built around the false choice — 'Coverage. Or line. Pick one.' — and then both words held together on a single frame. A customer's own sentence closes the argument before the endcard arrives.

Four falling folds of hanging cloth, drawn vertically so they cannot read as the concentric arcs of a wifi glyph. The mark is drawn synthetically and owned outright — no stock, no third-party assets, no people.

Before anything was built, the name was cleared against the trademark register via TMview (the EUIPO-run aggregator federating the USPTO with the EU and national offices), filtered to live marks in an overlapping class, and then against the open web for brands that trade without a registration. Marnehill came back clear on 2026-07-31.
