These terms cover work you buy from Krowdee: the film package (a launch or product film with a website hero loop), and larger projects scoped by proposal. By starting a film or agreeing a proposal, you agree to them.

What we make

The film package is a fixed-price service, made to a seven-day target. It has two parts. The film is a motion film of up to 30 seconds (a 3D product film: about 30 seconds of one product, variations included): story, visual direction, custom motion, voice-over and sound design, delivered as a 16:9 master, a vertical 9:16 version and a silent version. The website hero is a silent loop of 15 to 30 seconds cut from the film, delivered as MP4 and WebM files, a poster image, a mobile crop and an embed snippet. You host the hero on your own site; we do not log in to your site or work with your developer. We first agree a written outline with you: what the film must make your viewers understand. We then make your film and polish it with your notes. We share each stage with you by email. A longer film, or a film that shows several products, is quoted and agreed with you before work begins. Larger projects are scoped in a written proposal, which then forms part of these terms.

Price and payment

The price of the film package is the one shown on krowdee.com when you start, unless we have agreed a different price with you in writing. Larger projects are priced in the proposal. For the film package you pay at the start, either in full, with 10% off the price, or half at the start and the other half before the final files are released. The final files are released once the price is paid in full. Larger projects state their payment terms in the proposal. Prices are in US dollars.

Approvals and the seven days

You approve the outline and each cut by email. Seven days is a target that runs from the day we receive what we need from you, and your approvals set the pace. If we haven't heard from you within two working days of sending an outline or a cut, we may carry on with the direction we have so your film stays on schedule, and we'll tell you when we do.

Revisions

The film package includes polishing your film with your notes: changes within the agreed outline, such as timing, wording, colours or a shot. Work beyond the agreed scope, such as a new story or new scenes, is quoted separately before we do it.

Small changes after delivery

For 90 days after delivery you may ask for up to three small changes, such as a name, a price, a line of text, a logo or a line of voice-over. After the three are used or the 90 days have passed, a small change is charged at a price we tell you before we start it. We tell you before we start whether a change is small; a larger change is quoted first.

What we need from you

Access to your product or a recording of it, your brand files, and one person who can approve the outline and answer each cut quickly. You confirm that you have the right to give us the material you provide, and that what you ask us to say about your product is true.

Ownership

Once the film is paid for, you own the delivered films and may use them anywhere, for as long as you like. Your brand, your interface and your material stay yours. Krowdee keeps its working files and its methods.

Showing the work

We show a film, name a client or describe a project in public only with written permission, and we ask for it separately. Nothing in these terms grants it.

Stopping a project

You may stop a project at any stage. Work completed to that point is paid for; work not yet started is not.

No guarantee of results

We make films that explain. We do not promise any commercial outcome from them.

Liability

Our total liability for a project is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt hear any dispute about them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you start a film or agree a proposal applies to that project.
